Meet the artist

A lifetime in dance. A repertoire for the future.

Padma Bhushan Swapnasundari is a distinguished Indian classical dancer, choreographer, vocalist, researcher and author. She trained in Kuchipudi under masters including Pasumarthi Seetharamaiah and Vempati Chinna Satyam, was a leading Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam performer through the 1980s and 1990s, and led the revival of Vilasini Natyam, the dance of the Telugu temple and court traditions.
